Kayla Itsines is an Australian personal trainer and entrepreneur who became one of the first genuinely global fitness figures to build an audience through social media rather than through television or publishing. Her Bikini Body Guides, short high-intensity circuit workouts designed to be done with minimal equipment, spread through Instagram before being folded into the Sweat app she co-founded, which turned the programmes into one of the largest women's fitness subscription businesses in the world. She is widely credited with popularising the at-home circuit format much of the industry now runs on.
